THE GUILTY FEMINIST

A fringe favourite for the feminists who are well and truly trying… no one is perfect so we all sometimes feel a little bit guilty.

Cue Deborah Frances-White and guests who will be performing stand-up and then sitting down for a chat in a special episode of The Guilty Feminist, as part of the Road to Gilead Project. Scenes in the USA today are worryingly reminiscent of The Handmaid’s Tale.

The far right has been gaining ground in the UK, looking to strip back women’s rights. We can make a U-turn on this road, but we need to start now. Feminists, guilty or not, join in on the joyful resistance today.

SUSIE MCCABE: COMING OF RAGE

Glasgow’s very own electrician-turned-comedian is back at the Fringe, and she is furious. Is it the hot flushes? Is it the state of the world?

It’s been quite a year for this comic, but she is still standing and determined to have her say in Coming of Rage.

ANIA MAGLIANO: PEACH FUZZ

After three critically acclaimed, sell-out runs, Ania Magliano returns to the Fringe. It’s been a big year in the spotlight as a cast member of SNL UK but before the second season starts this Autumn she is squeezing us in.

Expect fresh gossip about her own body, flotation tanks, Sabrina Carpenter (everyone’s favourite pop girl), and the Suffragettes (everyone’s favourite girl group). We’re excited to see where this takes us!

DIARY OF A DL TRADE

If you followed Glasgow-based Theatre 118’s brief time shaking things up in the city, then here are some of the people behind it paired with Louis Utieyin and his take on radical queer acceptance. Poetry, stand-up, music, and rap with a Glaswegian perspective – buckle up Edinburgh!

Have you had a quarter-life crisis? Are you in one right now? Feel better by watching two idiotic flatmates experience their version of it. Best friends that are more like sisters can equate to multiple arguments, attitudes, and stubbornness.

From a crappy first date to hungover corner-shop runs, this new comedic play is full of nostalgia, wit, and a slight hatred towards the people you live with.

SHIT ARCADE

Shit Arcade is a comedy show where a panel of comedians are forced to play and roast some of the worst games of all time live on stage. From the legendary ET for the Atari 2600 to Little Britain for the PS2 – the games in each show are random, but the pain is merciless.

If you’re lucky/unlucky you might even get the chance to play and help comedians beat levels in these terrible games – and maybe even take them home! Mike Drucker hosts the show and generally makes fun of the players and games. It’s a fun, chaotic, and loose show that sometimes goes right. What makes a bad game, though? Maybe we’ll get that answer.
