Arts Festival, Fringe of Colour Films 2023, Opens For Submissions

Fringe of Colour is a multi-award-winning initiative dedicated to supporting Black people and People of Colour since 2018 through its online arts festival, Fringe of Colour Films. The grassroots collective has announced that submissions are open for Fringe of Colour Films 2023. The moving image-focused arts festival platforms work by Black artists and Artists of Colour. Submissions are open till 12th February, and the festival will be taking place from 23th till 29th June 2023 both online and in person in Edinburgh.

They encourage artists to submit filmed stage performances, readings, stand-up, sketches, dance, music, documentary, animation, and more, and can be short or feature length. The festival is a proud supporter of both emerging and established filmmakers; everyone is welcome to submit

They will ensure that all films show include English captions or subtitles, Audio Descriptions and British Sign Language interpretations, and welcome Artists of Colour who are blind, vision impaired, D/deaf and hard of hearing to submit work, in the knowledge that their films would be presented as part of an accessible programme.

More information on Fringe of Colour Films 2023 can be found on their website here. Full programme will be announced in May.
