OF FEATHER BOY THE UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIP AND TENTACLE GIRL

Central at Assembly Roxy 4th–17th August (excluding 6th and 13th)

Two friends (Vee Smith and Sadiq Ali) perform magnificent stunts in the air. They soar, twirl, suspend themselves from high places and plummet through space… but their journey wasn’t always so spectacular. How did they evolve from feeling like misfits to becoming the magical beings they always sensed within them? A heartfelt tale of a girl who dreams of being a monster and a boy who longs to take flight. For children aged 8 and over.

    THE ANONYMOUS MONSTERS

    C ARTS, C venues – C aquila 18th–24th August

Our hapless hero joins a local volunteer group and gets sent to deal with some noisy frogs. Simple enough, right? Wrong. He stumbles into a world full of yokai: weird and wonderful creatures from Japanese mythology who are seriously struggling to fit into modern life. Witness the show come to life with incredible handmade costumes, huge origami puppets, and catchy original music. It’s funny, it’s gorgeous, and it’ll completely mess with your head in the best possible way. For children aged 5 and older and performed in Japanese with English subtitles.
