Single Review – Too Hard To Explain By TEOSE

A catchy, twangy guitar riff, a danceable bassline, and vocal flourishes combine to give an upbeat, Y2K vibe to TEOSE’s latest tune. It wouldn’t sound out of place in a 2000s rom-com, or maybe on the Shrek soundtrack.

It’s a fun song from start to finish: the bridge evolves into a sort of pop punk waltz, adding to the romanticism. The lyrics centre on the complexity and difficulty of articulating emotions. In the band’s own words, it’s another good song about a bad time.
