Single review: Zoe Graham – Know By Now’

The years Zoe Graham has already clocked up in the business belie her still-relatively young age, but she’s clearly learned a thing or two. This experience comes to the fore in ‘Know By Now’ the lush lead track from the forthcoming Gradual Move EP.

It’s a slow burner of a song, but this is a style befitting the tale told here. Matters of love rarely run smoothly, especially when there are conflicting interest at heart. Graham’s tone is apologetic and reconciliatory, albeit with a slight hesitancy.

The vocal delivery carries the song and will be the nagging element that leaves you recalling the song later.

The kicks that usher the arrival of the chorus hark at something bigger, and hopefully this will unfold on the EP. Ordinarily, you’d never rush to call an emotional mid-temp number the sound of the summer, but in 2020, it’s as apt as anything.

Know By Now‘ is released on 17th July with EP Gradual Move following on 18th September via A Modern Way.
