Cryptic Crowdfunding ‘Sonic Surroundings’ outdoor filmed performance featuring Elisabeth Elektra

Elisabeth Elektra

Cryptic is Crowdfunding with a target of £5000 for Sonic Surroundings, a new series of digital music projects starting in the Scottish Highlands that they hope will bring beauty, freedom, happiness and most of all, hope.

They are aiming to give people a much-needed sense of space and freedom, and are launching Sonic Surroundings with a captivating outdoor performance from Glasgow’s electro-pop goddess, Elisabeth Elektra.

She will be filmed across a range of formats from hand-held and drone, to VR and full dome against breath-taking backdrops.

Cryptic needs your support to make Sonic Surroundings happen. They say ‘No matter how you choose to get involved, whether it be by donation, helping us to spread the word, or both – any and all levels of support are very gratefully received, thank you.’

Sonic Surroundings is part of the Creative Scotland Crowdmatch – they are 1 of 20 shortlisted creative projects in Scotland that have the opportunity to win a share of £75,000 in match funding, up to £10,000 per project.

“Sonic Surroundings is such a dream project to be invited to participate in. I’ve always been interested in new ways people can experience live music, and the possibilities site-specific performances offer artists and audiences alike. My music is electronic but has many organic components and is very much inspired by nature and landscapes, so I’m really looking forward to being able to perform it in such incredible surroundings.” Elisabeth Elektra

In return, they have a number of  rewards tailored to suit many interests… is it the music that moves you? The tech that triggers you? Or the location that uplifts you?
