Hip hop meets Classical in celebration of Steg G’s – Surface Pressure

This Sunday 20th March, as part of the Govan Music Festival, an eclectic group of Scottish rappers under producer Steg G, will be performing alongside The Glasgow Barons orchestra, to celebrate the release of Surface Pressure.

The album is an exploration of the realities of climate change in ten tracks by ten different voices in Scottish rap. The artists featured use the project as a vehicle to express their feelings and fears towards what may come of their communities and the planet itself if we don’t get together and address this crisis.

Steg G said: ‘The album is based on that moment in time when humanity either acts responsibly and faces up to the massive elephant in the room -or we give up trying, and face the consequences.’

Surface pressure is being released on 18th March 2022 by Powercut Productions.

Last remaining tickets for Sunday at Glasgow’s Grand Ole Opry are available here.
