NEWS: EDINBURGH TRADFEST POSTPONED

News just in that Edinburgh Tradfest is sadly the latest festival to postpone due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

They say: ‘During this uncertain time we recognise that now more than ever, we need to invest in the arts industry.  Therefore we are currently looking at ways to stream parts of our programme online. This will enable audiences to continue to enjoy live music and performance at home, and industry professionals to earn an income during this extraordinarily difficult time.’

From the festival organisers:

It is with great sadness that we are postponing Edinburgh Tradfest.

Due to the constantly evolving COVID-19 outbreak, we are no longer able to deliver the Festival but plan to return in 2021 from 30 April to 10 May.

Our partner programmes – the Folk Film Gathering at Filmhouse and May Days at the Scottish Storytelling Centre – have also sadly been cancelled.

Tickets will be refunded via the venues as soon as possible.

During this uncertain time we recognise that now more than ever, we need to invest in the arts industry.  Therefore we are currently looking at ways to stream parts of our programme online. This will enable audiences to continue to enjoy live music and performance at home, and industry professionals to earn an income during this extraordinarily difficult time.

So please keep an eye out for further updates on our website and on social media, as we continue to develop our online programme.

Stay safe and take care of one another.

best wishes
