Single Review: Hailey Beavis – Crow

Graced with celestial guitar and raw, mournful strings, ‘Crow’ is the lead single for I’ll Put You Where the Trombone Slides, the debut album by Edinburgh-based singer Hailey Beavis.

Her first song written after leaving an unhappy partnership with an exploitative studio owner, ‘Crow’s bending notes strain against the melody, conveying Beavis’s feeling of being ‘the wrong type of animal altogether’.

‘Crow’ is out 7th September via OK Pal Records
