What’s On at The Stand (Glasgow & Edinburgh)

Various dates, April

Throughout April many giggles are to be had at The Stand.

Head to Red Raw on Mondays in Edinburgh and Tuesdays in Glasgow and catch novice and seasoned comedians alike trying out new material.

‘Word Up’, their new(ish) cabaret night hosted by activist and poet Jim Monaghan, is always well worth the trip, with performances from poets, comedians and musicians all rolled into one evening of pure Scottish excellence.

Speaking of cabaret, in Edinburgh there’ll also be ‘The Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas’, where professional funny person Susan Morrison chats to two top academics, Dr Mhairi Aitken and Sarah-Jane Judge, about data mongering and school trips.
